Annacott papillons was started in 1977 with the importation of a male puppy Ch. Maringay Chimo bred by my mother Mrs. Gladys Fowler. Chimo sired many champions including two number one papillons in Canada even though he was strictly limited in use as a stud. He sired Ch. Tarantella of Annacott who was number one in 1980 and Ch. Annacott Smokey the Bandit who was number one in 1990.

I also imported Amberstone Athena at the same time. She was as Inverdon Aristocrat daughter and her first daughter, Ch. Tarantella of Annacott, was top papillon in Canada in 1980. Tara was sired by Ch. Maringay Chimo. Both Tara and her litter brother Ch. Annacott Treasure were group winners in Canada.

In 1984 I imported Ch. Maringay Milady from my mother in Scotland. I had been over a few years before and tried to persuade my mother to let me have a very nice little dog called Inverdon Charlotte. She said "No" but that I could have the pick puppy from her next litter and this is how Lady came into my life. Lady was sired by Tanarglen Tam O' Shanter. Lady was beautiful and was the top winning papillon female in 1984. She was a very successful dam and produced such lovely puppies as Am./Can. Ch. Annacott Little Popinjay and multiple group winner Ch. Annacott Monty the Maverick.

Am./Can. Ch. Annacott Little Popinjay was a beautiful dog and sired many lovely puppies including Ch. Annacott Tamsin for Jay, Ch. Luxxor Dream Weaver, Ch. Luxxor Dashing Jayson, Am. Ch. Luxxor Mistletoe, Ch. Luxxor Power of Attorney and Ch. Annacott Briony.

Ch. Annacott Monty the Maverick was a full brother of Jay from a later litter. He won many groups and placements and only sired a few puppies, but one of them, Ch. Stryver's Ted E Bear C.D., won a Best in Show for Carolyin Homonko and another, Ch. Stryver Fantasia at Alines, was one of the foundation bitches for Cindy Hook of Breezwae Papillons.

The next papillon to have major impact was Ch. Annacott Smokey the Bandit who was number one papillon in 1990. Smokey was a lovely wolf sable and was the life of the party. Many breeders owe their successes in the show ring to this little dog. He has thirteen champion offspring and many champion grand kids. His daughter Ch. Annacott Luxxor Ceilidh was my first home bred phalène and she proved to be a strong start to the success of the fifth generation of Annacott papillons and a lovely line of phalènes.

Ch. Annacott Luxxor Ceilidh was a dream dog; she was the protector and friend of the whole family and truly considered herself a human, not a dog. She finished her championship very handily and continued on as a great mother producing 6 champions. With her soundness she was a natural to produce truly sound puppies. She is the dam of Am. Ch. Annacott Little Luthais. Luthais is the sire of two phalènes : Ch. Annacott Brigadoon and Annacott Brittany. Ceilidh is also the dam of Ch. Annacott Briony, Ch. Annacott Tamsin for Jay, Ch. Annacott Talisman for Jay and Ch. Annacott Alisha.

Ch. Annacott Tamsin for Jay is co-owned with Louann Hansen and was her first papillon. Tamsin did very well at the U.S. National in 1997 as she was pulled up to near the front of the winners line up and was moved out a few times as the judge was making her decision. Tamsin is the dam of some very promising puppies.

The newest import from Scotland was Glenscot Bonnie Lassie, a beautiful phalène. She was truly elegant and loved to dance her way around a show ring and she had enormous amounts of energy that enabled her to get herself into some sticky situations at home. She had some lovely babies including Ch. Annacott Magic Mystery who won his class and was in the winners line up at the U.S. National in 1998. Her latest litter included Annacott Brittany and Ch. Annacott Brigadoon who won well in Canada as well as at the 1999 U.S. National. Her loss was truly tragic. Her memory will always be with me. She was a truly great dog that had too short a time with us.

Annacott Brittany and Ch. Annacott Brigadoon (Bailey) did really well in the show ring. Bailey has sired some lovely puppies and we had his grand-children, Genevieve and Gabriella, who are the fifth generation of Annacott phalènes. Bailey's daughter, Ch. Annacott Devil in Disguise(Angel) is a lovely papillon who made quite an impact as she finished her championship in a couple of week-ends and finished up by winning a Best Puppy in Group. Angel is the Dam of Am/Can. Ch Annacott Maestro and Ch. Annacott Keeley and Ch. Annacott Kahlua.

Ch. Animato Annacott Nakiska (Kiska) a lovely red sable and white papillon was the latest addition to the papillon family and he finished his championship very quickly. We looked forward to a few outings as a "Special".

I brought in Ch. Austrene Once Upon a Vision (Halo) from Ireland and he was so much fun to show with many group placements to his credit.  His last time in the ring as a veteran he went Best Of Breed at the Toy Specialty in Abbotsford where there were over 20 specials in the ring including the top papillon in Canada and the top papillon up from the States.  Quite a feat. He had not been in the ring for quite a few years but had not lost a step!!  He went on to a Group 4th and Best Veteran in Show. He has sired quite a few lovely puppies including Am/Can Ch Annacott Society Girl, Ch. Annacott Show Stopper, Ch. Annacott Steal The Show and Ch. Annacott Kalani.

The other little dog which made an impact here is Ch. Apsara's Cossack Dancer - Cos.  He is quite the character and his last show was at Papillon National 2013 when he was over 10 years old. And he did have fun winning a Best Veteran in Show and Best Opposite Veteran in Show and was Best Veteran in Sweeps at the National. And he sure showed some of the younger dogs all about attitude as he was showing off!!

The next little girl to leave a mark here is Ch. Annacott Harmony By Alines and what a brood she is.  She finished her title in great style and along the way picked up a Best Puppy in Group. She is the dam of 2 champions, another one pointed and 5 sitting on the side-lines waiting to make their debut.

The latest dog to make her mark in the ring is Ch. Animato Annacott DevinChoklat - a grand-daughter of Cos.  She is an exquisite little phalene and for those folks wanting to take her home - no, she is Louann's pride and joy. She finished her title in less than 2 week-ends at the dog shows and along the way picked up 2 Best Puppy in Groups and a Best Puppy in Show.

These little dogs have brought me great joy and I just know that we still have things to do. We have put titles on close to 100 papillons with over 70 of them being Annacott title holders and with the promising youngsters coming along it looks as if things are carrying on with many more exciting moments to come.
